I have been thinking of purchasing a drone for some time now but was hesitant to jump in as I had no experience of flying them. When I saw Jim was offering lessons, I jumped at the chance. Despite my nervousness, Jim was a complete professional and delivered an easy to understand, comprehensive ground school prior to the flight. I was taught the essential information about flying the drone in certain airspace and how I can apply for permission and let others know I was flying there. The live flying session was one of the most fun and educational experiences I’ve had in a long time. I learned how to take off, conduct line of sight maneuvers and record video of my flight. The safe landing, guided by Jim, ended the session and I was very confident I could use the skills to fly my own drone safely. I cannot recommend Jim’s classes enough. He is a patient, knowledgeable and gregarious instructor and I’ll be back for more lessons when I need to move on to more advanced techniques.
